Problem.

So today I realized that I want to do A LOT of things with my life.

And I pretty much need to get working on them. haha

I read an article about the Iditarod which for those of you who don't know what it is, you can read about it here. It was basically this article, although it was a teensy bit different. Anyway, I've wanted to be a dog musher for like a long time. Obviously not enough to move to Alaska and do anything about it but I really want to. I've also said for a long time that I'm going to marry an Alaskan/Canadian which would be the PERFECT leeway into dogsledding. Seriously though. haha

I also find space really interesting. I want to go to outer space. And not just so I can be like "oh yeah, I've been to outer space..." but I want to like be super science-y and know what I'm doing out there. I want that to be my JOB. hahaha yeah....

Pretty much, anything remotely normal doesn't sound interesting to me anymore.

So maybe this will be my life in a few years:

OR this:

And obviously, there is still this:

........yeah. :)

Nineteen.

day 19 - write about a sweet memory from your past

hahaha this is just a funny prompt. A sweet memory? Okay...

Well, when I was younger (like 6), Nicole and I would climb up in our closet, on top of all the sleeping bags and pillows, and we would play my mom's guitar. Apparently she didn't know we did this until recently when we were talking to her about the whereabouts of the guitar. Hahaha but it was a rather great adventure... and we probably would've gotten in trouble had she known what we were doing.... :/

Apologies.

I realize that I haven't blogged in what feels like decades.

BUT I have a very good reason so let me explain:

Last Wednesday, my sister got home from her mission.
I woke up, went to the airport, stake president's house, lunch at panera, work, SFO to see two of her mission friends who were on their way home but had a layover on their way to Singapore/Sydney. We got home late and straight to bed we went.

Thursday, I went to work, then met my family (minus my dad) at pizza my heart (sunnyvale) and ate my pizza for like 5 minutes and then I rushed out and went to the jacobsen's to babysit. I was there for a few hours and then I came home and straight to bed I went. haha

Friday, I went to work, came home for literally 5 minutes before running out the door again to drive up to Oakland to see the BYU International Folk Dancers (which was really good) and then by the time we got home, it was late. So bed time. haha

Saturday, we went up to Pleasanton/Danville to look at houses. We left at noon and then we looked at houses for hours. Once we were done, we decided to go to Fenton's which was delicious, as always. Once we got to eat anyway... But haha by the time we got back from that, it was rather late...

Sunday, we had church and such and we also had a fireside which lasted super long.... so I was home late.

Then on Monday, I went to work all day, then I came home for a couple of seconds and then we went to Rok for dinner. After Rok, it was bed time. haha

Tuesday, I came home for like 30 minutes and then I went to "Enrichment" which obviously took forever sine my mom had to chat with everyone and then help clean up. So we obviously got home rather late.

Wednesday, my fam picked me up from work (and we did a little car swap) and then we headed over to Lora's house for a little Mary Kay night. haha we saw all the new Spring products which was super fun(?). hahaha but yep, that was a busy night.

Yesterday, I didn't have any clean clothes. My mom didn't want to do laundry so her solution to the problem: go by a new shirt. haha Jack and I went to Target and bought lots and lots of new things! It was a very productive night. And then we came home and helped the RS presidency do visiting teaching stuff.

Today, after work, I came home for like 15 minutes (just enough time to eat fried rice) and then I went to the Jacobsen's to babysit. I was there until like 10 and now I'm blogging.

But moral of the story:

I haven't been home like this whole week.

LAME.

Also, I'm pretty much an old lady and I got to bed before 11 now.

Next.

My sister got home today.

We woke up early-ish to get ready. Clean the house, finish our signs, all that jazz.

We got to the airport to find President and Sister Jackson waiting there. He is the Mission President of the California San Jose Mission. So we talked to them and it turns out that they were sending a missionary back to Temple Square (who was outbound) and they were picking one up from the MTC (who is in SJ because her Brazilian Visa won't go through. Sister Quist and the other missionary were both on the same flight. The poor missionary coming out here looked SO lost. haha I felt bad for her. And it probably didn't help that President and Sister were talking to us like the whole time instead of to her. haha oh well. :/

Anyway, we left the airport and drove straight to the Carmack's house. President Carmack is our Stake President. We chatted with them for a while and he released her. It was pretty presh. Well, we walked out to the car and Nicole turns around, hands me her nametag and says "You're next." hahaha and it's true, I am next. How weird.

But yep. She's home now! It's still kinda surreal because it doesn't feel like it's been 18 months at all. And I've been texting her... so strange. But so exciting. :)

(And sorry I fail at the 30 day challenge. I'll work on that later...)
