I love to see.... my sister. :)

This weekend has been absolutely crazy. But so so good!

Thursday, after frantically going to class and quickly getting ready, I left to go home for the weekend. I had an hour between when my class got out and when the shuttle left so it was crazy. The shuttle was pretty... normal. Nothing too exciting happened. Then I got to the airport and got to hang out for a little while (like 25 minutes) then I got on the plane to go to Oakland! I got into OAK and walked out to the curb right when my driver (aka my mom) was just pulling up. Perfect timing. Then I went home and ate dinner, which I had specifically requested to be Thai food, even though it was like 11 at night. That was so delicious, especially since I had been craving fried rice for weeks... That was my exciting day on Thursday.

Friday, I slept in and then we went to Rok for lunch. SO GOOD. Except for I was super congested so I couldn't really smell/taste anything BUT it was still really good. hahaha Then we kinda just hung out and then I went babysitting. haha it's funny that I got a babysitting job the weekend I was home. That was good though because I got paid to do my homework. I got home really late from that so then I just went right to bed.

Saturday, I woke up and I was going to see Jaclyn but she got distracted and such so I went to Target to buy some stuff (and we saw the missionaries and they were really surprised when I talked to them...) and then we went to The Cheesecake Factory for dinner. That was so good! Yummy. And we went to Santana Row to go to Crate & Barrel to get a rug and walking through that store made me want to get married really bad. Not really to be married but just to register for everything and then decorating a house and making it all cute. hahaha I told my mom and sister that and they both just looked at me weird. But everything there is just freaking adorable and some of it is just weird because you don't need special sorbet glasses but they have them! haha It's just fun. After dinner though, I did go over to Jaclyn's grandma's house to see her. I haven't seen that girl in... almost 2 years! And she's getting married on Saturday. So crazy. But yeah, we got to catch up, I got to see the ring, and the dress that still isn't 100% done yet so that was exciting! She looked gorgeous. I can't wait to see her wedding pictures! :)

Sunday, I had to wake up early to feed Topaz cat. (Which means I had two jobs while I was home...) Then we went to church which was fun because it was Connor-kins' farewell. SO the whole world was there. It was ridiculous. But Adrienne, Pete Johnson and Connor-kins all talked and they all did a really good job. Then I didn't go to Sunday School because I took a sick Jack home and then I went to RS/Priesthood. That was precious. Uh, then after church, I did homework and then we went over to the Whitlock's for the open house thing. That was super presh. I had their famous tacos and they were delicious! And it was weird because Connor has just always been so awkward with me... I can never understand that boy. He like always touches me when we're talking and pretends that we're BFF's but uh, we're really not. I don't get it... But it was fun to see everyone. And when we were leaving, we were saying bye to him and he realized/I told him that I wouldn't see him for two years and so he had to hug me and talk to us for a little while. It's SO weird that he's leaving. And when I got home, my dad couldn't stop talking about how I was making out with Connor. Apparently if you give someone a hug, it equals making out in my dad's book... But technically I did hug the guy my dad has said I'm going to marry.... and he's been saying that for years... so whatever. haha But it was funny because at church, we were making fun of people who would hug him and say that he was such a good hugger but it's true, he is a good hugger. But yeah, so he's leaving next week which is insane. I cannot believe that he is leaving on his mission already! Ahh! But the rest of Sunday was pretty uneventful.

Today, I woke up, had some breakfast and then got all ready to leave. Then we drove to OAK and then I got on an airplane. It was funny because the lady I was sitting next to was wearing a shirt the exact same color as mine. We were twins. The flight was super great. When we got into the Salt Lake Valley, there was a lot of turbulence which is like my favorite part. I LOVE it. (and I'm being completely serious.) But we got into SLC like 20 minutes early so I decided that I should go to Temple Square. After trying to make it work (and even setting up an appointment with Sister Quist, I realized that I couldn't get over there and back with enough time to make my shuttle. So I decided to change my shuttle time (and waste a lot of time doing that...) but I did end up going to Temple Square. I had to take a taxi that was SUPER expensive but that's alright. I got to see Sister Quist and Sister Reed and it was a gorgeous day in Salt Lake so it was all good.

I got to see the new display that just opened up like last week which was pretty cool. There was kinda long line but it wasn't too bad. It was really cool though. Especially because it's a 1:32 scale model... even the paintings are all to scale. Which is super crazy. And then since I've been to Temple Square so many times, they had nothing to show me (lame) SO instead, they took me to their super secret underground world! haha I saw President Holmes' office, and Guest Services (where they answer all the phones...) and I saw their lunch room and their nap room and the doctor and everything. Nicole also showed me where her old companion passed one onto her. So great. It was fun though because while I was down there I kept getting some really weird looks... until people learned that I was her sister. Then they were super excited. It was funny. But yeah, it was super fun to see her! She had to go to some training thing though so she had to leave me instead of me leaving her but it was still really REALLY good to see her. I miss her A LOT. Tomorrow (the second) is her half-way mark (and her birthday!). So that's really great. She comes home March 2nd. But yeah. Then I went on a photo escapade, just taking some pictures of the temple. I was kinda in the mood to take some pictures:

Then I went back to get my stuff (because they put it in the little holding room) and I talked to Sister McNaught (I think that was her name...) and she is a Horticulture major here at BYU-Idaho so we talked for a little bit and then I had to go to my shuttle.

The shuttle home was super fun. For some reason I didn't get bored at all... I did fall asleep for a little while but it was pretty bearable. Except I was kinda hungry because I didn't eat anything all day long practically. I had 3 pancakes, peanuts and cranberry juice on the airplane, and then almonds and a granola bar on the shuttle. haha but don't worry, I had some pizza since I've been home now. But yes, that was my exciting day/weekend.

I love Temple Square. :)

I think there is something in the air...

I have gotten sick twice in the month I've been in Rexburg and in the 4 months I was home, I didn't get sick once. Something is obviously up. Maybe it's the fact that I don't really sleep when I'm here and that at home I had nothing better to do than go to sleep reasonably early. That and I had a pretty consistent schedule when I was home. I don't know but I really don't like the fact that I'm sick AGAIN. Luckily it isn't anything too serious... yet. So far it's just a sore throat and all around not feeling good. haha but that's it. And I've been laying low for the day so hopefully it will leave quite soon. I also think that it might have been caused by my lack of sleep (weird) so I am going to try to get better at sleeping more. And that should be fairly accomplishable. We'll see how well that works out though.

Ummm, nothing exciting is happening. Jessica and I had a tennis match yesterday and it was FREEZING. We lost but we played better than we have in the past so that was good. But we had to wait like 2 hours to play and it was so super cold! Brrrr. (that also might be why I'm a wittle bit sick?) but haha yeah, that was interesting. Then we both took 4 hour naps and after I woke up is when I felt REALLY bad.

lalalala I talked to Josh on the phone for three hours on friday. That was nice. haha I don't think we've ever talked that long continuously ever before. But it was so good, and much needed. Uh, we also went to Erin's lacrosse game on Friday and then to Snoasis and then to Aubree's/Zach's/Jake's basketball game which was SO intense. It seriously came down to the last second and we were all on the edges of our seats. Ridiculous. Then we went to Domino's for old time's sake and got some pizza then came home and had some dinner... at midnight. WOO. Oh the life of a college student. Then we made some cookies for Hannah (who is our tennis teammate and her birthday was Saturday) and then we went to bed at 2. oops.

Um, my orca paper went pretty well... I think. I don't really know and I was like asleep when I was writing it so we'll see. hahaha but other paper though was really good. A+ work for sure (unless my teacher has some crazy hatred towards water polo...) but yeah, school is now relatively calm now, hallelujah! We have 5 days of school and then a 3 day weekend. A three-day weekend where I could potentially be going to Georgia... but we'll see about that. hahahaha and the next weekend, I was going to maybe go home for a wedding. But I don't know if that's going to happen which is kinda sad because I really want to. I REALLY want to go home for the wedding. Jaclyn and I are like twins separated at birth and I can't not be at her wedding. So I will see what I can do about this predicament. AND I'll get to see all my Homestead buddies while I'm there and then I won't feel so bad about missing their graduation the next week. PERFECT PLAN. Too bad the tickets are $310. But that still might be worth it. We shall see what the coming days bring. I hope they bring me homeee! :) ((also, I will potentially be in SLC on June 4th which is two days after Sister Quister's birthday SO I might have to drop by T2 to wish my favorite person ever a very merry 22nd birthday! haha :) So that would make my weekend so much better!)) Okay, now I realllllllly want this plan to work out. haha

So yes, that is all my excitement as of now.

Time to go and eat some more puzzle-piece shaped orange juice ice cubes. :) hahaha

Four in a row!

I really have nothing to say.

But I've blogged these past three days so I decided to just blog quickly to keep up the momentum.

Today was a boring ol' day. Nothing exciting happened.
School, Tennis, Homework. Great.

Currently, I'm listening to some Demi Lovato (don't judge me) and writing an 8 page paper on orcas. I would just like to reiterate my love for them. They are adorable. I don't know why I'm like the only one who sees this but don't you just want to reach out and pet them. And maybe swim with them? Well I do.

Edit: While I was doing some legitimate research for my paper, I came across this, this and this and I'm pretty sure that if I was in that situation, I would be FREAKED out. haha like it scares me just watching it. These animals are HUGE. And kayaks are stable but not when a ginormous animal knocks it over. But I still love them and I need a kayak buddy to go and do that with me. haha any takers?

(I also didn't realize that this picture was so big but I kinda like it. It just jumps out at you!)

OH. MY. GOODNESS. Absolutely adorable. :)

I just want to go and play with them. Ahh okay, I should stop googling orcas and start writing a paper about their ecology. Yay.

Oh yeah, and this'll be me in 6 years:

Tell me that doesn't look like the best job in the world.

(And, I left this text black on purpose, to match the whales. hahahaha)

I love being able to see (among other things).

So my last birthday post was kinda of a downer. I really do like birthdays, I swear. I just feel like sometimes, I expect them to be really good (because previous years had been really good) and then they are just kind of a let down. And to be honest, I knew that Jessica and Erin would do something great but last year, my birthday was SO good. Probably one of the best birthdays to date. And it might have something to do with the fact that we were second semester seniors and therefore we found any excuse to go and play outside but it also might be that I have awesome friends and they were great. This year though, it definitely topped everything I ever expected.

It started out getting a package from home (mostly just Jack and my mom) with cookies and peanut-butter filled pretzels (which are heaven-sent) and a card yesterday (Monday). That was cute. And it really like, mentally prepared me for today. I was definitely in the mood for a birthday after that. I had kinda forgotten about my birthday until like Sunday, to be honest.

But then at midnight, Jessica and Eric both wished me a happy birthday and such. (Oh, we also went to Wal-mart last night and Erin and Jess both bought the store out of birthday stuff...) but then I woke up this morning, a normal day. I had a happy birthday text on my phone from my sisterrrrr but that is all. I got ready and went to class. In class though, I had a bunch of people text me to tell me happy birthday (and to be honest, this is almost like my favorite part. It's cheating to remember from facebook. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it when people remember without facebook. And it really means a lot more. So that was good.) Then after my two classes, I came home and our entire house was decorated. There was also a huge bouquet of the prettiest flowers on the table in the family room that I didn't even see when I first walked in. (I saw them, I just didn't realize that they were mine. haha) So Jessica texted me and asked if I saw them. I ran back out there and got them and they were from Josh! SO SO SO CUTE. My heart melted when I read the card. Oh, he is really the best. 1200 miles away and he still gets me flowers. I love that boy. Jessica and Erin ditched me for like the whole day but that was okay because I got to do homework (and yet, it's 2:00 am right now and I'm still up....). But I have the flowers sitting right next to my bed now and our room smells super good. I love it.

Anyway, wow, I ramble. So we all went to class again and then they had more prep to do. Before I went to class, I talked to Josh for like 5 minutes which was SO nice. So yeah, once they were all done, we went to dinner. BUT they blindfolded me. AND Erin forgot that she left her car at the Ricks so we had to walk all the way up there, blindfolded. What an adventure. Then we went to Broulim's to buy some frosting (because they forgot) and then they drove around the city to confuse me and then we went to Thai. Yummyy. We came home, they finished their cakes while I talked to Josh for a long time. Then we had a party. It was super fun. We played games, listened to music and just had fun. Erin and Jessica also sang me a song and it was SO CUTE. oh my goodness. I was like tearing up when they were singing. I love those two. It was great. Then once everyone left, we went to Taco Bell with Ricardo and his friend Tom who were the stragelers at our party and then we came back and hung out until they had to leave. Then we just chilled and did homework and now it's bed time. BUT all in all, it was a marvelous birthday. One of the best I've had. Have fun beating this one next year guys! You set your bar pretty high. haha I love you both!

So recap:
-Cookies and treats from my familia (oh, they also called my while I was talking to Josh but since I was busy, they left me a nice little voicemail of them all singing me "Happy Birthday". Pretty precious.)
-Flowers from my adorable boyfriend
-Decorated house, blindfolded adventure, dinner and a party from my amazing friends/roommates.
-More facebook wishes than I know how to deal with
-Receiving lots of texts from people I love dearly!

Oh, and here are some pictures:

The Room (with flowers):

Our Super fun blindfolded adventure (and it was pouring rain):

(There really are more pictures but I'm too lazy right now. But they'll be on Facebook, have no fear team.)

What an amazing 18th day of May. :)

One Year Older

It's my birthday.

I never know how I feel about birthdays. There is just so much anticipation building up to them and then they get here and I always expect them to be better than they are. So it's kinda reached the point where I just don't really expect anything, as lame as that sounds. Which I know is horrible but I guess I've just had some really good birthdays and as I've gotten older, they've kinda gotten lamer. haha AND it's weird to me that I'm so old now. So maybe that's the other thing; growing up scares me. We shall see what the rest of the days holds for me. I do know that Erin and Jess are throwing me a party... But that's all I really know. I also have a whole bunch of homework that I have to do tomorrow (or I suppose today) so that should be fun.

Anyway, enough about my birthday ramblings, especially since I'm still 18 for 12 more hours! haha

So today was... interesting.

It started out pretty not good. haha I was so tired when I woke up so I kept snoozing my alarm until I decided that I wasn't going to shower so I went back to sleep for like....20 minutes. And I'm already planning on doing the same thing tomorrow. hahaha perfect. :) But after I actually woke up, I was getting ready to go to class when Josh called me. I hadn't talked to him on the phone since Saturday night. It had been too long. We talked for less than 10 minutes, which was SUPER sad. I HATEHATEHATE not talking to him. It is absolutely horrible. But yeah, anyway, then I was in class, I came home, had a nice little break, went to class again, came home, had a splendid break, did homework, went to tennis, which was the hardest practice ever. I was working up a nice little sweat. Then we came home, smelled REALLY bad, had a baby snack and then we had FHE. We met our FHE group and that was good. They were really fun. We went outside to play a game and somehow it turned into a huge water fight with our next door neighbors and their whole family. It was super intense. Basically our entire family room was SOAKED. And we were all drenched but it was super fun. Best FHE Ever. haha then we quickly showered, went to Wal-Mart for Erin and Jessica to plan my party, we hung out and now I'm sitting here, super exhausted and ready for bed.

I'll probably post more later on this week about the birthday festivities.

p.s. can i just mention that sometimes parents (not mine!) are suuuuuuuper stupid? UGHHHH. I am so so so so so so so so SO frustrated with some parentals that I am associated with. They are making my life miserable. But there is absolutely nothing I can do about it so I guess I'll just deal with it.

Okay, bed time!

Twas an exciting Sabbath Day

Well, it's been a very long time since I've blogged. Mostly because I've been busy/nothing too exciting has been going on. And no one really reads my blog so there isn't really a point to blog. But I shall do it anyway.

So today was an exciting day (well I guess yesterday)...

It was Stake Conference so church started at 10 which was so nice. We got up, got ready, and left by 9:30. As we were walking up the street, a police car flew around the corner with its lights on which was strange. Then like 30 seconds later we hear a siren and we turn around and look and there are three police cars cornering a horse running around a church building. But the horse turned and started running and it really looked like a moose. So it was a horse/moose. Jessica and I both just started cracking up because it was super funny. There was a horse/moose running away from the law. So that started our day off really good.

Then we got to church, SUPER early and we got good seats and then some creeper boys came and sat next to us. The one boy who sat next to Jessica could distinguish what brand my lotion was (which was bizzare) and he was being a creep. But it was kinda funny. But it was a regional broadcast so President Monson spoke to us and stuff which was fun. AND we got out of church at like 11:55. Which is almost 2 hours earlier than we usually start. It was SOOOO nice. I hate late church.

After that, we came home, Erin came over, we hung out, did homework, Erin left, we did more homework, I accidently fell asleep, and then we kinda ate dinner. But then Jessica really wanted to go on a walk so we walked up to the temple and we brought a camera to take some pictures but on our way up there, we realized we didn't have a photographer, so we called Eric and he came and took our pictures. We were just going to take normal pictures but it ended up being an engagement photoshoot. Which is funny. So then after we came home, we changed our relationship statuses on facebook to engaged. Which was also funny because everyone kept asking me if Josh and I had broken up. WE DIDN'T. Just to clear things up. But Erin came over again and it was super funny. I just love hanging out with them. It's so great because we are all like the same person.

Some of my personal favorites:

(Look on Facebook por muchos mas, amigos!)

Um, let's see, what else has happened recently? Tennis is going good. I'm getting a lot better but I'm still not like good by any means. Uh, school is splendid. And that is all. hahaha I am too lazy right now to update more.

A Day (or two) at the Ranch

Wowza.

Crazy weekend! Like the craziest weekend ever.

Friday, was kinda crazy. We (JED (hahaha Jessica, Erin and Danielle)) went to the temple and then we came home, got ready for the day, and then I had class. Then when I came home from class I had to pack and get ready for our weekend trip. Jessica and I also walked to the Post Office to mail some letters to our missionaries. haha that was fun. Then we drove up to Salmon! And we got there at like 8 and we just hung out with the super fun Keller family. Erin drove up late Friday night so we waited up kinda late for her especially since she got a little bit lost. But luckily she got there safely and we all went to sleep... at like 2.

Saturday morning, we woke up, had some delicious pancakes for breakfast, then we helped make pies and various other delicious things. And then we went outside for branding!! It was so crazy. I never really realized how much of a city-girl I am until I went up there with all those cows and cowboys and it was just mayhem. I held down a few little calves so that they could get their little stamp of approval hahaha. But yeah, it was just so insane. I don't know how to describe it any other way. It was just crazy. There were calves being dragged everywhere and cows moo-ing. It was just so ridiculous. But then once they were all done, we had lunch, which was delicious. Then we went outside to play on the hay bales. That was super interesting. haha I'm kinda allergic to hay so I was super worried that I was going to have a huge allergy attack but luckily I didn't. Then we were going to go and ride some horsies but our official tour guide couldn't take us so we just waited for a while and then we went back out and went on a horseback ride which was interesting. We rode in pairs (Jess and Erin, Adam and Treon, Alice and Me) but Adam and Treon decided to ride bareback so they kept falling off and it was just hilarious to watch them. But about halfway through our ride, it started getting SUPER cold. We were like numb. It wasn't fun at all. Especially since I don't really like horses to begin with. But it was alright. It was pretty enjoyable overall. Especially all the shenanigans of Adam and Treon. Then we came home and we showered because we were so gross. But then we had a movie night and we watched The Blind Side but most people either fell asleep during the movie (like Erin, Adam and I) and some other people just left the movie early (like Jessica and Alice). We were all SO exhausted.

Sunday, after we all slept like a rock, we woke up and went to church. Emma and Adam both had to teach Primary classes so we all went to Young Women with Alice which was funny. We basically doubled their class. Then we went to the Youth Sunday School class and it was so high school. Completely segregated- boys on one side, girls on the other- and everyone sat on the back row. It was ridiculous. Then Sacrament meeting was pretty normal. Nothing out of the ordinary. Then we went back home, had lunch, packed up and then we played a bunch of card games which was so fun. I feel like I'm a part of that family now which is great. Alice and Adam are great. And Mary Jo is wonderful. I love that family. I also fell off the trampoline right when we were leaving... that was an adventure. hahaha :/ But then we drove home in Dave's car which was great. I love Erin and Jessica. We had a great little chat on the way home. We sometimes talk about the most random things ever. But it was so good! Then we had pizza for dinner and then went to bed nice and early.

Today, when I woke up, I was super tired but I had to go to class which was boring. It hurt so much to walk. I was SO sore from everything this past weekend. But I think that I'm getting less sore which is good. Hopefully anyway. But Jessica and I had our first tennis practice today and that was super fun. I've never really played tennis before but I actually wasn't as horrible as I thought I would be. The only bummer is that we're not on the same team but I really like my team so it's all good. I'm kinda excited for the season, even though I don't really know what I'm doing. But yep, that's the recent news. Time for homework! :)

(Pictures from the weekend will be added... eventually. Be patient.)
