Confused.

Do you want to know something that I really don't like?

Being sick during allergy season.

My throat itches which I know is allergies.
My eyes itch which I know is allergies.
My throat hurts (like sore throat haha) which I'm pretty sure is sickness.
And I'm sneezing. I can't tell if it's allergies or if I have a cold.

This is causing quite a predicament.

Throat hurting = strep potentially.
Having a cold= probs not strep.

If I knew the cause of this ridiculous sneeze/runnyish nose, that would be AWESOME.

Anywho, I have been quite busy recently.

kinda.

Let's see:
Erin visited this past weekend.
She got here right before Jessica, Callie and I had to go and play our tennis match.
So she came along.
And watched Callie and I play some psychos.
Seriously.
They were ridiculous.
Unfortunately, we lost. But we got to the point near the end of that match where we weren't really even playing, we were just trying to slam the ball into them. haha

(I wrote A LOT and then blogger decided to die on me. So everything after this is a second writing. Sometimes I greatly dislike blogger...)

Anyway, after the game, Erin and I went to Millhollow to take advantage of an iHappi deal. We got sandwiches and yogurt (because it was buy one get one FREE (for the yogurts)). After we ate our entire sandwich (okay, we really only ate half but they were so big that a half= a whole), and our peanut butter yogurt, we talked and talked and talked. So by that time, we needed more yogurt. This time, we both got tart peach. And let me tell you, it's HEAVEN. I've craved it everyday since then. Erin got raspberries on top and I got strawberries on top and it was to die for. I also decided that I'm serving it at my wedding.

Don't like peach frozen yogurt? Too bad. haha

(Also, it would match my colors too, I can't not do it. I wonder if Millhollow caters to California....)

Anyway, after that adventure, we came home and rested for a little while and then we headed over to (the old) Madison High School for Relay for Life. And yes, it was after midnight at this point. We walked around the track a bunch and then at about 2:30 we decided to call it quits.

I was asleep by 3 which was so late. Especially since we had to be at the tennis courts at 8:30 the next morning.

When we got to the courts, they told us we didn't need to be there until 10:30. Cool.
So we went home and ate lunch and rested.

We went back and Callie and I won our first game 8-0 which was a big accomplishment. :)
Then we lost our second game 2-8 which wasn't really that bad and we were pretty much done being there so we were okay with it.

After tennis, we were SO hot and we really wanted to go in some water.
Rexburg Rapids just opened up that day so we were thinking about going there but we didn't think that we would really take advantage of it and we wouldn't get our moneys worth so we instead decided to go over to the Hart's pool.

I sorta taught Callie the strokes and we just played around in the water which was definitely enjoyable. Walking back home though, my flip flop broke. :( I suppose that's what I get for disobeying the honor code. But have no fear, talk of a trip to Old Navy to get me more flippie-floppies is already in the works. :)

Saturday night was Brooke White night. She performed at Hemming Village which is literally my backyard. haha so Erin and I went over there during soundcheck and saw her warming up and then we walked around Porter Park and saw LOTS of awkward couples and then we headed over to Nielsen's to get some yummy fries and delicious frozen custard. Then we went back to the show where we watched people performed and where we watched creepers. It was enjoyable.

We watched "He's Just Not That Into You" (although I really just slept through it) and then I went to bed. There was a little drama with our apartment manager's which caused me to get up again and go with Jessica to drive Erin home. So I didn't get to bed for real until like 2:30.

The rest of this week hasn't really been noteworthy. Kinda just the same old, same old.

And this is insanely long now so I shall stop.

16 more days of school!

61 more days until I leave for ISRAEL!

(and just a fun fact, I only have 41 more days in the country until 2012. insane.)

Until next time, friends. :)

Ouch.

Today, we went to Summer Solace.

It's like a festival at the school. Well we went super late because we were doing other stuff and it wasn't that warm today.

They said they were going to have tie-dye so we went to Walmart and bought white shirts for our tiedying but when we got there, they were cleaning up.

It was only a dollar so we still payed and went in.

First we rock-climbed, which was really fun but super hard to do barefoot. haha none of us made it to the top....

(I think it's easy to assume who won....)

Then we painted our faces--shooting stars.

After that, we decided to go do down the big slip-n-slide. First the three of us (Jessica, Callie and I) went together. Kaity didn't want to get wet (because it was a little chilly, so she took pictures/video for us.

We kept going down over and over again. It was great. There was no one else there which was awesome.

We decided to go down the three of us again and so we did........

In the tarp, there were some little holes, not sure why, but on our way down, my finger got kinda caught in it and like snagged. So it is jammed/sprained. And it hurts a lot. But I wasn't about to stop going down the slide because of a hurt finger so we kept going.

Once we were done, we were way too wet to get in the car so we all walked home and Kaity drove. haha We were SOAKED.

But it was really fun.

I've also borrowed Callie's car and went to Walgreen's to get a splint and tape. Hopefully my finger will start feeling better soon. :)

(Check out my facebook (in a couple of days, I'm still on my Facebook Fast) for more pictures and some great videos. :) )

Oh Boy.

Remember how I used to be obsessed with Facebook?

And how it was the cool thing to be on Facebook and if you didn't have a Facebook you pretty much weren't cool.

Those days are over people.

That's right, I said it.

OVER.

I haven't been on Bookface all day long (gasp!). I know. It's probably really hard to believe. But for my Family Foundations class, we were supposed to be measuring our media usage for the past to weeks and try to get rid of wasting so much time on the internet. Well, I pretty much failed and now I want to prove to myself that I can spend my time better and not go on Facebook. We're one day in. We'll see how long it will last. (probs not that long. haha cause I accidently logged in (more on that in a second....) and I have eight notifications.... so we'll see).

Anywho, back to the point.

Lots of people I know have been talking about this new website. And today, I decided I wanted an account too.

I signed up to be on their waiting list and 36 minutes later, they accepted me. haha

For me to use this new site, I had to link it with my Facebook (and thus the logging on, on accident incident).

It's been like an hour and I'm already obsessed. This isn't going to be good people.

And I know that you're dyinggggg to hear what the new site is....

Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce you to:

(if you want an invite, just holla).

But seriously, it's enjoyably delicious.

(I was stalking my favorite triplets earlier and lurked all over their's. AND good news! Triplet #2 is getting married! woooo! :) haha I'm more excited about this than I should be....)

love.

Love JBiebs.

Love Rascal Flatts.

Looooove this song.

Take a listen, friends. :)

Ironic.

Exactly one year ago, I posted this little jem of a blog post:

Hatred.
I don't hate many things. In fact, off the top of my head, I can't really think of anything that I actually hate... except one thing:

ALLERGIES.

Every year, without fail, they come and ruin my life. Back in the day, I used to go every Friday without fail, for some good ol' immunotherapy (which is just a fancy word for allergy shots haha). Eventually, I started getting too busy (with polo and swimming and life) and I didn't think it was needed so we just kinda stopped. We would take our Zyrtec and be juuuuuuuust fine. And see, that's the problem. I was fine for a while. I didn't take my medicine for quite a while because I wasn't having problems. But now I'm dying a very slow and painful death from these dreadful allergies. I've been taking Zyrtec but it hasn't been working as efficiently as it has in the past, probably because I haven't taken it in so long...

I've been sneezing ALLL day long and my throat has been itchy and ugh, I'm just miserable. It would be really great if Rexburg wasn't just deciding now to be Spring. Because it's June. I dread the spring every year because of this and for some reason, I thought that I wouldn't have allergies in this silly city because I was doing SO good. UGH.

And today, I am feeling the exact same way as I did then. Oh Rexburg, you are so consistent, you. My throat is super itchy and I'm sneezing like crazyyy and my eyes itch. UGH.

And on top of this, my face started peeling today. booo.

Rexburg, I don't like you that much currently.

How I have been feeling all day:

Please feel my pain. :(

Sunburns, Singers, Silly Songs, Shmackely. :)

This past weekend, Shmackeley came to visit me.

She arrived on the shuttle at 2:25ish and so I met her outside the Hart a little after that (because I was in the Benson studying for a Lab Midterm...) We then took her stuff home, had a little snack and then went back to school. I dropped her off at the bookstore to browse and read while I went back to the Benson to take my midterm. Luckily it was very quick (and easy!) so then I went back to the bookstore to pick her up.... and buy her a shirt. After that, we were both very hungry so we came home and then we went to Sammy's.

Sammy's was delicious. The last few times I've been there it has been sub-par but on Friday, it was yummmmmmy. We both got The Provo (basically a regular bacon cheesburger) and then we shared an order of battered fries and a Mint Oreo Pie Shake. It was great. And there were quite a few people there on dates and it was pretty awk. Not going to lie. There was one couple who was on their first date, another who were definitely an item and she was picking fuzz off his sweatshirt like a monkey would and then their was a NORMAL married couple. It was strange.

After dinner, we came home and then we went to go play tennis with Callie and Jessica. We played for a little while and it was pretty fun. My "fiance" also drove past and everyone was happy for the opportunity to see him. After tennis, we went to Snoasis/shack and got some snowcones. They were yummy. haha definitely worthwhile. But we were super full. Obviously.

We also went to Horkley's and got "Morning Glory" to watch. It was pretty good but I was super tired and thus, don't remember much of it.

Saturday, we had a tennis match. It was nice because it didn't start until 10:30 so we didn't have to wake up super early but things got kind of messed up and Callie and I didn't get to play (1st doubles) until like wayyyyyy late. So we just sat up on the courts and got really sunburnt while watching Jessica's match. When it finally was time for me and Callie to play, we were just tired of being there... But we WON! It was the first time either of us have won a tennis match. We won it 6-0, 7-5. Woo! But we didn't finish until 2:30. Insane.

We were starving during the match so we decided during the second set that we were going to go to Jimmy John's. Well, apparently everyone else had the same idea because once we got there, they were all out of their french bread. :( So we had wheat but it was like wheat slices and not a french loaf and it wasn't good. So unfortunately Shmackely missed out on that experience. :( After sandwiches, we headed over to Nielson's for some frozen custard. Their flavor of the day was Mint Oreo so Shmack and I shared a concrete (basically a think shake) with brownie. So it was mint custard with oreo AND brownie in it. So yummy.

Then we came home and our sunburn was starting to set in and we were just tired. I did laundry and we just hung out and relaxed. Then Shmack realized that she needed to go to D.I. to get some shirts for trek next week so we borrowed Elaine's car and went to D.I, got the shirts and a sweater for Elaine, went to Walmart where I got some cereal and shampoo and then we went to Craigo's (Pizza Pie Cafe) and got a Spud Pizza.

We hurried home and changed our clothes and stuff so that we could go to the Nik Day concert.

Waiting for the performance to start.

Stephen Jones from here was the opening act and he was hilarious. Seriously SO funny. I really wanted to meet him (because how cool would that be!?) but he was no where to be found after the show. Sad day. But seriously, he was awesome and just seeing him was worth the $5.

Stephen Jones action shot.

Nik Day was really good too. He played a lot of other people's song which was alright but I like it when people play their own songs.... he has some really good songs that I liked a lot and he was accidently funny which was fun.

Nik Day-- am I crazy or does he kinda look like a vampire?

The lady sitting in front of us (I suppose she wasn't really a lady, she was a girl.... haha) but she was SO annoying. We were sitting there for literally two seconds and she said a creeper comment to us. And we took some pictures and she kept creeping on them. Weirdo. And she stole a free CD from me. But I'm over it.

We then came home, ate out Spud Pizza and watched 17 Again. That movie is so awkward sometimes. But it was a wonderful little day.

Sunday we went to church, which was presh, and then came home and ate more Spud Pizza. Then while all my roommates were either sleeping or were at choir, Shmack and I made Nicole a super funny video. And then another one. Then we had to make dinner and people's VT came over but by the end of the night we made (a super long) one for Katie and a pretty good one for Erin. They are hilarious, people. Definitely an enjoyable night. Shmack then had to pack and such and then we had to go to bed.

We woke up at 6 this morning and she finished packing and then we walked over to the shuttle and she left at 6:30. I went back to bed for two hours and then I woke up at 8:30, went to swimming and had a marvelous time. And now it's almost 5 and I still have lots more studying to do. Woooo.

But it was a great weekend. :)

Time for school now.

Peace & Love.

I rode a motocycle today.

It was thrilling.

And the fact that I was holding on (for dear life) to a rather attractive man didn't hurt.

I also got an 88% on the multiple choice part of my Botany test.

And I'm sure I got a 100% on the write on section.

And at Student Ambassadors, there were some very delicious mint brownies. I had two. yum.

What a wonderful day. :)

Now three hours of math homework.

kcool.

It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt.... or loses a shoe.

This past weekend, I went down to my favoritest state of Utar.

(More commonly called Utah.)

Erin was up here for a couple days and she really wanted to go to a Mindy Gledhill thing in Provo and being the groupie that I am, I followed her down. And by followed, I mean she drove me.

We left at 2:30ish on Friday afternoon (after I got out of class and we quickly stopped at Broulim's to get some roadtrip snacks.) We drove and drove and drove to Provo. I think I got a sunburn from the car ride. We talked about anything and everything. And we ate out snacks. We got to Provo (after driving through all sorts of crazy construction, good job happy valley) and we quickly found our concert location. AND across the street from the parking garage/rooftop was this gem.

That's right. It's baby Sammy's. So cute!

We were going to eat but then we decided that we weren't that hungry but we did need to go to the bathroom/Erin wanted to keep up tradition and have a costume change. So we walked to the Marriot that was just down the street and around the corner. It was a pretty legit hotel. There was a doorman who was super nice and they even had a gift shop AND a free shuttle to the MTC. haha but we used their fantastic bathroom and we were on our way. After a quick picture (or four.)

We then went back to the rooftop and found our seats. Aka ground. We actually found some great seats (right up front). And we didn't even have to move people's blankets. We hung out and watched people eat Cafe Rio and Wendy's and took some heartfelt pictures.

(notice the empty blankets behind us? more on that soon.)

After sitting there and people watching/talking for 30 minutes, the warm up band started. I didn't really understand the need for a warm up band but whatever. I went with it.

After that, they started the show. And when I say they, I mean CJane. From cjanerun.com. Who ALSO happens to be Nie Nie's sister. Who's best friends with Mindy. But speaking of Nie Nie, guess who sat on those blankets behind us?! If you guess Nie Nie, you're wrong because she's in Arizona having surgery but if you guessed her family including her practically identical sister Lucy, then you're right! Their kids are so cute and we were smiling and laughing at them all night. Definitely made the night better.

But we got to see Mindy Gledhill perform (the reason we went) and we also watched Meaghan Smith.

Mindy!

Meaghan!

They were both really good and it was a super fun show. Definitely worth the drive. After the show, Erin talked to some music people because she's going to be famous some day and then we were both very hungry and we needed somewhere to eat. We decided to go to Brick Oven and it was delicious. We got to sit in the Retro Booth (est. 1956) which was awesome and their food was yummy. Plus, the manager/asst. manager were really funny. And our waitress had VERY good ears lets just say.

By this time, it was very late (like 11:30) and we still had to drive back to Salt Lake. We drove back, took the elevator to the 10th floor, made a bed, brushed our teeth (we'd been wanting to all day long!) and then went to sleep.

Saturday, we woke up kinda late, like 10:30. Ate Cars cereal and then we went to Gateway. We bought some matching sunglasses from this cool sunglass guy and we ate Ben & Jerry's shakes while hiding behind a bed in Anthropologie while smelling soap. Productive. After we walked through the whole mall, we decided to leave. We didn't really know where we wanted to go but we figured we should eat. So we went home and ate some leftover pizza with a tomato/cucumber salad. We ate it out on our balcony and people watched from the 10th story. good times.

We were going to go swimming but I didn't bring a suit (oops!) so instead we went on a walk to the Capital Building. We took lots of pictures and we were there for a VERY long time.

It was a very exciting place to be, obviously. After we explored like the entire building, we went outside and found a fun little fountain that these annoying girls were playing in. No worries though, some ranger came over and told them the rules.

You can see the troublemakers in the above picture.

We were very contemplative during our adventure. We wondered about the tiles in the Capital and you can obviously see Erin in the above picture contemplating life. While we sat here we watched our friends take out all the chairs from the Capitol building and wheel them away somewhere (there was just a graduation for some Argosy University (ever heard of it? neither had we.) in there right before we got there...)

Anyway, after we explored the Capital, we went across the street to take some pictures with some buffalo.

We then decided to go to the secret park hidden inside a little valley. Apparently it was National Take your Engagement/Wedding/Child pictures because there were lots of people with photographers in tow. We saw probably 5 couples taking engagements, 4 brides (and their groom, except one) and a family taking pictures of their toddler. It was crazy.

We saw some girl lose a shoe (that's what happens when you are playing too close to a very rapidly moving stream).

AND the best part of the entire day was when we had just crossed over a little bridge and we saw a horse-drawn carriage pull up. Out steps a cute little couple. She starts taking pictures and he is just watching her. We didn't really suspect anything going on until after we had taken a drink from the delicious water fountain (the water in the park tasted better than the water in the Capitol....). We were walking along when we see this cute guy on bended knee and the girl is in tears. He gives his little speech (we couldn't hear it, we were walking away) and then they hug for like an eternity. (She obviously said yes. haha) The driver of the carriage comes back down from up the street and they hop right in and drive away. All three of them having huge smiles. It was so fun to be part of their moment. :)

(Right to left of this little stream is the proposal site. We were standing on this cute bridge to take the picture....)

We then walked down to Temple Square (we just followed the little creek) and we walked through the Temple grounds and we were both getting a little hungry so we were going to go to The Lion House Pantry to get some delicious rolls but we got there at 8:05 and they closed at 8. We were so sad. So we just walked back home.

Salt Lake Temple. :)

For dinner we had more pizza and Cheetos and we watched "Life as we Know it". We also made some delicious cookies. It was a pretty good movie. The little girl in it was adorable so it was definitely worthwhile. We stayed up very late talking and watching sheep eat/slurp.

Sunday we slept in (maybe a little too late, oops!) and then we got ready for church and went. We only stayed for part of church because I had to leave to catch my shuttle. The shuttle ride was fairly uneventful. I've taken it so many times that it doesn't really feel very long anymore which is bueno. I also made a friend, always good. I was the first one on (in Salt Lake) and the last one to get off (in Rexburg.) Yay.

It's kinda good to be back but this week is going to be insanely hectic which I'm not looking forward to. I loved having a summer weekend. But now it's school time. :(

Until next time friends.
