The stars lean down to kiss you; And I lie awake and miss you.

What. A. Day.

Well, basically, I've been getting sick for a couple of days but it was really bad yesterday (Monday) so I went to bed as early as I could so that I could get lots of rest and start getting better. Well, when I woke up this morning, I was feeling SO much better, which was great!

I then had class from 9:45-11:15 and then from 11:30-1:00 and then I went to meet with my first teacher during his office hours... well, that ended up taking the whole time and he basically kicked me out at like 5 to 2:00 so that we could go to Devotional. But I didn't go to Devotional. I came home and ate lunch. Then I went back to class (but a NEW class) at 3:15-4:15, met with the same teacher (who also taught my new class...) and then to the Bookstore to return a book, then the Library to add/drop some classes, back to the Benson to talk to that teacher and then to Eric's to pick up Jessica. I finally got home at like 5:45 or so and I was exhausted. It was a ridiculous day. But basically, he is what happened:

My new advisor (who teaches my one class from 9:45-11:15) told me that I needed to get out of Math 108. So if I dropped those 3 credits, then I'd only have 12. But I need 14 to have my scholarship SO, I added BIO 199 (which he also teaches and is on Tuesdays at 3:15) and then he added another class for me. It's BIO 401R which is basically a reading class and it's also one credit and I basically just read books (about orcas!) and then he and I discuss them. Hahaha he's basically my new best friend. I am now in 4 science classes this semester and three of them are taught by him. But he's super funny and I love him. (He made us play (?) Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes last Thursday in class because everyone was falling asleep (and he made me help him lead because he thought I was sleeping (although, I was really texting... oops....)) But yeah, he's great. Oh, and his name is Brother Stricklan and I get emails from him all the time because he is in charge of the Wildlife Society and since I'm an Ecology major, I get those wonderful emails. Anyway, I'm only taking 14 credits, and I basically have to schedule my whole Fall semester around Math 110 and Chem 105. I won't have a social life, basically. Goodie. Then I'll jump through a few hoops to get my Math 108 credit out of the way. Although, I'm a little nervous to take 110 because tis been a while since I've taken Calc.... and I didn't know anything then.... :/

So yep, that's the dealio.

After that, I came home and talked to Josh and I don't know what it has been recently but something hit me and I miss him SO much. Like, I've always missed him but that missing has increased like ten-fold these past couple of days-ish but today it just hit the tipping point and... yeah, it was all bad. It also made it a lot worse because we haven't really been able to talk as much as usual. Since his parents basically took away his phone... so no texting and no phone calls really... yeah, it's complicated. But luckily, I have Reese's ice cream, Owl City/Taylor Swift and a huge thunderstorm to help me... not to mention the two greatest "roommates" in the world. I probably would've cried myself to sleep a couple hours ago if it weren't for Erin and Jessica. Oh, they are so fantastic. I love them. We had a lovely conversation tonight to help distract me from my homework and then we walked Erin home and we wrote a song about the Chainsaw Man. Good times.

But now it is time for me to finish my homework and go to bed! Yay for school! :)

Sunburns and Bikes

Well well well.

So LOTS of things have happened in the 4 short days since I've blogged last.

Sunday, we had church. Our ward meets at 1:30 which sounds nice because we get to sleep in but it is really horrible actually. It is just way too late. Getting out of church at 4:30 is ridiculous. But yeah, we walked all the way up to the Hinckley and got to the chapel and we went to sit down when we saw.... Eric and Logan. They aren't in our ward but they're in our stake and three wards in our stake combined for sacrament meeting so we were there together. And that meeting was pretty good, except for it was SUPER hot and crowded in the chapel. But then we had Sunday School and then Relief Society and those were pretty normal. Nothing too special about either of them. And then we had to go and meet with a member of the Bishopric to give them a "Getting to Know You" sheet. And that was weird. Like they were kinda I guess not rude but they were abrupt. But then we came home and our dinner that was supposed to be cooking in our Crockpot didn't cook while we were gone. So we had to figure that out and then eat way later. We also unpacked and just hung out and stuff for the night. We also watched a movie and and ate ice cream which was wonderful. :)

Monday, was our last day before classes began. We were planning on going to the temple but it's closed on Mondays. So instead we went to Craigo's for lunch with Erin. Then we walked to Walmart. And while we were there, we talked with Dave. Dave and Erin had talked about kayaking and Erin invited Jess and I so we talked to him for a while and then he took us all home so we could change into our kayaking attire. Then we went kayaking! :) It was Erin, Dave, Jessica, Chad (Erin and Dave's cousin) and Chelsea (Dave's friend). So we got in our kayaks (and right after I got in mine, it totally flipped over and I was up to mid-thigh in gross river water... that was fun...) but yeah, then we just kayaked down the little river and then we were dumped into the Snake river. We were kayaking for like an hour and it was SO nice and peaceful. I would go so often if I could. It just means that I need to stay buddy-buddy with Erin. haha but yeah, after that, we just came home and relaxed for a while/did homework. Oh, we also bought a quesadilla maker from some random guy so we made ourselves some quesadillas. By that time, I was starting to look mighty red from a nice little sunburn I had gotten from our little kayaking adventure. Then we went to see Valentine's Day with Erin. And it was super fun. Except that movie kinda made me hate Taylor Swift as an actress. But I still adore her music. Then we came home and went to sleep because classes started Tuesday.

So yesterday, classes started. And I woke up and I was sore, sunburnt and surprisingly nervous about school starting. But I went to class and it was SO boring (I've since dropped that boring class haha) but yeah, it was weird to be back in class. And I had two classes back to bad which was super fun. And by the time I got home, I was pretty tired. But I still had one more class. Luckily, it was math class with Jessica and our professor is super funny so it was definitely bearable. But THEN, we went to Walmart and bought some BIKES!! I got a super pretty teal one and Jessica got a super pretty purple one. They look super cute together. And then we got to ride them home! That was an adventure. But they're way fun. Then we went to i-night which basically we got to late and then we couldn't decide what to do and then when we decided to actually do something, we got side-tracked. So instead of going to speed dating, we went and did a service project. But then we went to speed dating. And that was funny. Jessica really wanted to go and so I went along with her. Some of those boys were... interesting but there were a lot more normal ones than normal which was good (and obviously I wasn't really trying to get a boy, since I already have a wonderful one... but it was still fun). Then we went to the Hart and met back up with Eric and Logan. Once we got tired of everything, we came back home and crashed.

Today, I had one class and then the rest of the day I caught up on TV and talked to Josh on the phone and went on facebook. And I did homework. Don't worry, I'm not slacking off yet. There was a super fun thunderstorm today and so we got some nice rain. And then we had an apartment meeting (after eating our Caesar salads while watching Wizards of Waverly Place....) and then we rode our bikes to Walgreens (even though it was a little rainy). But the ride there wasn't rainy but on the way home it was raining and we went up the big hill home so we were exhausted once we got home. But it was good because I had to get some stuff from the store and now we have it. Now it's time for homework and then bed. Yippee!

Plans for the upcoming days:
-Three classes tomorrow (including our SUPER fun math class. :) )
-Temple Friday morning
-My super fun Environmental Class on friday afternoon!
-IF on Friday evening with ERY (Erin, do you remember when my "uncle" called you that?) and Jessica Ellen Meyers

That is all for now. :)

Back in the 'Burg.

Wow.

So it has been a very long time since I've blogged. Mostly because I've just been so so busy. I guess I'll recap the past few weeks that have been full of crazy events.

So last week, I stopped working on Wednesday, which was super weird. I was actually kinda sad when I finally left. And remember how I thought that Sarah was just going to crash and burn without me there? Well, it turns out that Fran came back. I don't know if she is back permanently or if she just was just helping for this week until Tax Day but yeah, she started the day after I left so that is good for Sarah. haha but I actually kinda really miss my job. It's weird being gone.

So then on the 8th (Thursday) we left the great state of California and drove to Reno (with an obvious pit-stop at Chick-fil-a in Fairfield...) and then we got to out hotel kinda late-ish. The next morning, we went to do baptisms at the Reno Temple and then we started our drive again... to Twin Falls. So that was a super fun drive as well. Then the next morning, we went and did baptisms at the Twin Falls temple (and there was a little bit of drama while we were waiting to go in... haha)
Twin Falls Temple (it was freezing...)

but then we started the last leg of our drive to.....

REXBURG! :)

We got to Rexburg and we changed our clothes (back into our Sunday best...) and then we went to pick up Josh before we headed to the Idaho Falls temple to do baptisms. It was SO good to see Josh after 2 months. Oh goodness. But yeah, so we drove down there and did baptisms and then drove back and went to dinner at Original Thai in Rexburg... which is the traditional place to go eat. haha After that, we didn't really know what to do but Josh and I thought we would just go to a movie (since there isn't anything else to do in this town...) so we went and looked at the showtimes and found a showtime that would work. Then we went and dropped everyone off at the hotel and then we went back to the movie theater.... Well, the movie times got all messed up so we walked around for a little bit and then we went back but then it turns out that the movie we were supposed to see was in the other theater but long story short, it was like a half an hour into it. So we just decided to walk around and talk and such... for a while. Then I got home late, and then stayed up later. haha oops.

Sunday, we went to church. We just found a random family ward in Rexburg and we all went... including Josh. haha then we hung out all that day, and didn't really do anything. I did help him pack with his dad which was super fun. hahaha kinda... but we walked around the Rexburg temple kinda and then we went down to IF again to go to the Visitor's Center at the Temple which was fun.

Idaho Falls!

But yeah, Sunday was a good day because it was like the last day with him for a loooong time. Well, I saw him on Monday but not really. I went over there Monday morning, helped him load up his stuff into the car, and then we went back to the hotel and we drove him down to IF so that he and his dad could drive down to SLC. I got to meet his grandparents and they got to meet my dad (well, and his dad met my dad too...). It was pretty precious. But then we drove off and that was sad. Ugh i miss him. Anyway, after we left, we went back to the hotel, packed up the car, got our rental car, picked up Jessica Ellen Meyers from her grandma's house and then we drove up to Island Park, ID. We went up to W. Yellowstone and went to dinner and grocery shopping and stuff which was fun. That night, Jess and I stayed up super late talking and it was exactly what I needed. It was so nice to be back with her. I've really missed her.

Tuesday, it was snowing alllllll day long. But we still decided to go to W. Yellowstone again and we went to the Grizzly Bear and Wolf Discovery Center (mostly because I love to fight bears...) but it was freezing outside and so that kind of ruined it.

Precious. The 5 kids... since Jessica is the new Nicole... for now at least....

Oh, and I didn't have any cell service at the cabin so I couldn't talk to Josh at all except for when we were in town. And by the time we got to town on Tuesday, he was already on his flight home so we didn't really get to talk at all which sucked. But anyway, back to the bears.... They were so cute.

Who wouldn't want to pet this?

And I kept asking my dad if i could pet one and he said that I couldn't because "they would probably want to kiss me.... with their teeth". hahaha he just doesn't know that I fight bears.... But yep, that was super fun. There were also these wolves which were super cute too.

We finished the night off by watching Glee and then Spice World (the Spice Girls' Movie.... obviously...) while eating out delicious purple berry ice cream.

Then on Wednesday, we went to drive around. But really, we just drove on the highway and there is one section of the highway that goes through Yellowstone so we drove on that just to say that we had actually been in the park. haha but then we went to an IMAX theater and watched two movies there.... one about Yellowstone and the other about Bears. That was fun. Then we came home, and relaxed and watched the Aristocats...

Here is when we had a slight change of plan. We were supposed to stay in the cabin until Friday but my dad got an email from his old boss who's wife died on Sunday and her funeral was on Friday in SLC. SO we decided to leave the cabin a day early, get back to Rexburg a day early, and then they went down to SLC on Thursday so they'd be able to go to the funeral. I was thinking about going with them just so that I could drop by TS (Temple Square...) and visit my most favoritest missionary/sister. But I decided that I didn't really want to spend 8 hours driving just to maybe see her. (It turns out that they did see her and she really wants to meet Josh so when he comes to visit, we're going to go to SLC and visit her... haha but I'm super jealous that they all saw her/took a tour from her today...) So I decided to just stay in Rexy with Jessica. Which turned out to be really fun. We got to move in early, and then we went to dinner with my new cousin, Adam Keller. It was hilarious because he was talking in a British accent all day long so dinner was entertaining.

Friday, we kinda moved in more for reals. But not completely. We went grocery shopping and everything and we got to see ERIN YOUNG. Boy have I missed that girl. She is hilarious. She also bought some of those Kool-Aid Bursts so we all sat in the front seat of Jessica's grandma's car with the windows down, music blasting, drinking out Kool-Aid. It was great. I love these girls. haha we bought some great things at D.I. and hung out. Super fun. We helped Erin move in as well. And hung out with Ashley/Ryanne/Eric/Logan and then Adam came over again. But we were super tired so we like left with Adam at like 11:30 so that we could go to bed.... but it ended up that we didn't actually go to bed for quite a while.... like 2:30... oops.

But then we slept in today, and when we woke up, I got in the shower and while I was in the shower, one of our roommates got here! That was exciting. Her name is Shalise and she is pretty cool. She's an Ecology major, just like me. And she and Courtney, our other roommate, are cousins so that should be fun. She isn't super talkative at all or anything and we haven't really hung out but she isn't super weird... Hopefully we'll be able to get along. But today we unpacked mostly and then we hung out with Erin and then the boys and then we went to dinner/to visit Erin at work at Subway. After that we walked to Jamba Juice because we heard they were hiring and Jess needs a job. But we stopped at Hollywood Video first because they're going out of business and we wanted to see if any good movies were there for us to buy. Well, Jessica found 3 or 4 and I got one. And I'm super excited about it. It is about Knut, who is the cutest polar bear cub ever. And it's a true story. I am so excited about it! Then we came back home because our feet were killing us and we unpacked but really it just turned into a nice little facebook break and then the boys came back over... but I talked to Josh on the phone the whole time. Jessica and I went to see When in Rome in the cheap theater after the boys left and the movie was SO cute. Like absolutely adorable. And it was definitely what Jessica needed. And now I'm here blogging. Yay.

But classes start on Tuesday which is SUPER weird. I'm like dreading it now... haha which is ironic because I've been looking forward to it for months...

I'm only gonna break break ya break break ya heart.

So tomorrow is my last day of work. SO SAD. I'm like actually really going to miss it a lot. It's going to be super weird to not have to work anymore. Ron and I are like BFF's now. And we have all these Mormon-y secrets which are so super fun. haha and I am super scared that Sarah is going to have no clue as to what to do and that everything is just going to be all bad. Luckily I won't have to witness it. so yeah, I'm really going to miss it. And I'm going to miss Chuck and Melanie too. haha they're so funny. But yes, I am really going to miss getting paid to do practically nothing. It was a super fun job. And somehow, everyone has like found out that it was my last week this week which is weird because I have no idea how everyone knows all of the sudden. It's super crazy. But yeah, today when I was leaving, Sarah was talking to me and she asked (to reconfirm) if tomorrow was my last day and I told her it was and she looked so upset. I feel a little bad actually because I feel like I should stay and work the rest of this week and then up until the 15th (until taxes are all done...) because she is SUPER stressed about all that stuff. So yeah, I feel kinda bad. But oh well. Hopefully they'll be able to survive without me. Although, I am kinda worried about them, honestly. hahaha :/ But hey, look on the bright side, at least Sarah has had more than a month of me training her as opposed to my 3 hours I got before I was left for my first time...

So after my super sad last day of work, I am then leaving to go to Rexburg on Thursday. SO CRAZY. And it's going to be super fun because we're adding a few more temples (Reno, Twin Falls and Idaho Falls) to our list. Which I am pretty excited about. Then I get to Rexburg for the weekend, then it's off to Island Park for the week. Super great. Then back to Rexburg to move in and such and get all settled. It's going to be a crazy week.

I am SO excited because on Thursday, on our drive up there, we are going to drive right past our closet Chick-Fil-A which means I will be getting myself one of these:

I've seriously been looking forward to this for weeks. hahahaha my mouth is watering just looking at that picture... I haven't had Chick-Fil-A since.... uh, I think early August... the last time I went roadtrippin'. I also had my last Chipotle burrito today for lunch before I go back to the land of zero good fast food. haha it was SO good. Last time I went here it was definitely mediocre but today was fantastic. Someone needs to open up a Chipotle/Chick-Fil-A in Rexburg, please. :) p.s. I'm kinda only mentioning this to make you jealous Josh.... hahaha :)

Um, I am also getting a new passport soon! As in, tomorrow I'm going in to turn in my forms and stuff and tonight I went to Walgreen's to get my picture taken for it. It's so nerve-wracking because now I'm going to have this passport for TEN years! hahahaha that's like an eternity. But I'm excited for it because it's the new passport which is super pretty! And while I was at Walgreen's, I also bought two of the coolest shirts on the planet. Remember back in the day when people wore those shirts that started out really small and they were all scrunched but they fit everyone? yep, I just bought two of those... SO EXCITED! Ah! I just found a picture as well, here is what it looks like (except the sleeves on mine aren't as long and I have a blue one like this and then a super crazy multi-colored one!):

So yep! That's my exciting news for now. I see Jessica AND Josh AND Erin AND America's Family Community in 3 days... although, it's like 83 hours so technically I guess that would be 4 days... right? But yes, it is SUPER close.... I better get packing.... :/

(and this song, Break Your Heart, has been stuck in my head ALLLLLLL day long....)

I also hope that this blog satisfies all your wantings. Because I've been hearing that I "haven't been blogging as much and that they haven't been as long..." Hopefully this is okay. :)
